Danny Forster Design Studio’s philosophy is that through a blend of intuitive design decisions and technologically enabled design strategies, it is possible to make beautiful sustainable architecture accessible at a reasonable cost. The house is one of the country’s ?rst to use an in-ceiling hydronic radiant heating AND cooling system – there’s no traditional forced air HVAC, just the geo-thermal powered, thermally-active ceiling that can both heat and cool the house. Also 100 % of the roof surface is covered in a unique vegetative roof, used for both solar de?ection and storm water ?ltration. The house was designed using the energy modeling software Eco-tech, to leverage and calibrate both passive cooling, passive solar, as well as basic site orientation.

The main living area has a 15 ft long thermally broken, fully operable ‘Nano-Wall’, which acts as the main wind intake to passively cool the entire house. (more…)

Britney Spears is one of the famous artist in Hollywood who has a mansion and interior with expensive prices. Britney likes bright colors like red, yellow, white and orange for home furnishings. But if you are not Miss Spears you do not need much to be able to have good furniture and good quality. You can get it in Bolzan. This year Bolzan has enlarged its range of modern Sofas by several cool models. They have a nice red and white color scheme which should be in a perfect harmony with the modern interior design. This is The Lofty chaise lounge and chairs from MDF Italia that bring futuristic furniture designs to current day. I could easily picture these seating options in a science fiction movie set in the year 2050.

The Lofty chaise lounge and chairs was particularly taken by the stainless steel versions. Imagine the work required to shape stainless steel into these forms? I saw where production runs on stainless steel are limited which is not surprising considering the effort required to create.

The only drawback is that I have not had a chance to sit in one to test it for comfort. Looks are important and cool, but I do demand a bit of comfort while sitting.
