The unique chairs above and below has designed British designer Benjamin Hubert, called Pebble. A collection of seating for Dutch furniture brand De Vorm in London Design Festival 09.
The legs are made of oak and held in place by a powder-coated steel band.

The collection will be launched at 100% Design in London next week.

Pebble, designed by benjamin hubert for De Vorm.

De Vorm are a young Dutch furniture producer located in Arnheim, The Netherlands. Their in-house design team produce a range of interior and exterior furniture, with a sustainable and innovative approach to materials. Pebble represents their first collaboration with an independent designer and is manufactured in the Netherlands.

The furniture collection is inspired by the form of beach pebbles found washed up by the sea. The design is a combination of rotational moulding, solid oak and CNC formed metal. Rotational moulding is predominantly used for large outdoor furniture. Pebble brings this material indoors and adds an increased sense of sophistication through its form, finish and combination with other materials.

Pebble has a low carbon footprint as the seats are manufactured from recyclable polyethylene and the knock down construction contains no additional fixings. The legs locate into the moulded top and are held together under tension by the powder coated steel band.
